Los Roques is an archipelago of Venezuela, located in the Caribbean, at 168 Km (100 miles) north of La Guaira, Caracas´ port. For its beauty and ecological importance it was declared national park in 1972.

To reach Los Roques, you can take commercial flights from Caracas, Porlamar (Margarita) or Maracaibo. The arrival from the air is spectacular, thanks to the variety of blues than you can see.

The archipelago has more than 50 islands. The most important, El Gran Roque (The great rock) is the only one populated and is where the airport is located. The other important islands are Francisqui, Nordisqui, Madrisqui y Crasqui.

Posada Gaviota:

This Posada is located on the beach just in front of the dock from where the little boats leave for the atolls and the coral reefs of the Los Roques archipelago.

Typical Caribbean structure, with particular architectonic details, proposes excellent meals served directly on the beach, as its restaurant is situated on the shore overlooking the bay with a spectacular view to the sea.

This posada, category superior, is located near the church, few steps from the sea. The rooms of this posada, double, triple and quadruple, are fully equipped with fan, air conditioning and private rest rooms.

This posada, superior category, is located in a little small far from the center of Gran Roque, just in front of the kindergarten.

They offer 2 rooms king sizes bedrooms and 7 double rooms where it's possible to add another bed and to convert them into triple rooms, with a maximum capacity of 22 guests. All rooms offer private rest room, safe and a mini bar. Its structure allows fresh air and breeze in the rooms. They propose national and international meals and a nice place where to stay.

     
Posada Doña Carmen

This posada, basic category, is located between the main square of Gran Roque and the beach. It offers 9 double rooms, with fan and private rest rooms. The cuisine is typical Venezuelan food, characterized by its simplicity and pleasant taste. The common area includes a beautiful terrace with sea view.

La Gotera This posada has been recently renewed and supplied with new furniture. Its 4 double rooms provide private rest rooms nicely decorated and air conditioned. Meals are served in front of the sea and the Italian cuisine offers typical fish dishes. It offers a spectacular view from the terrace.
