1st day:
At arrival at Caracas airport, our guide will accompany you to the national terminal to take the national flight to Ciudad Bolivar. On Saturdays there are no flights to Ciudad Bolivar.
On arriving at the airport the assistant will take you to Hotel La Cumbre where you will enjoy dinner after which you will spend the night in a room with private bathroom.
2nd day:
Very early in the morning there will be breakfast, and then you’re taken to the airport for the air-taxi flight to Canaima. Our guide will then take you to Parakaupa Camp where you will stay (full pension) in a room with private bathroom. In the afternoon we’ll go on a tour around the Indian community.
3rd day:
A day off where additional tours can be taken, depending the weather circumstances. It’s possible to see Angel Falls, the highest waterfall in the world. Arrival will be by boat to the base of the waterfall or flying over it in a private plane. Another possibility is taking an exciting trip walking through and behind El Sapo waterfall and admire the magic of Canaima’s lake. Full pension and stay included.
4th day:
After breakfast we’ll go back to the airport of Canaima to take a flight back to Ciudad Bolivar. After arrival we’ll find our guide with a 4 by 4 Jeep that will accompany us for the 3 to 4 hour trip to the entrance of the ranch near the Orinoco Delta. Lunch will be enjoyed during the ride. You will take a trip in a “chalana”, a typical boat from the mystic Orinoco. In the evening we’ll go back to the ranch, where a selection of rooms with private bathrooms awaits us and there will some time off to enjoy the pool or go horseback riding around the property. Then dinner will be served.
5th day:
After breakfast we’re going on a 50 minute drive to a small pier where we board a boat that will take us through the canal of the Delta. Here we’ll fish for piranhas and visit the Warao Indians that live on the banks of the river, in their typical houses. Observing the vegetation carefully we might see some of the animals that live in the area like monkeys, birds, toucans and chigüiris. For the most dynamic people we can organize a walking tour through the jungle, to show the variety of unique and peculiar plants. Afterwards there will be a navigation test in a typical Indian vessel. During the excursion we’ll have a box lunch and in the afternoon we’ll leave for the coastline. In the evening we’ll get to Pueblo Pequeño Camp, in the mountain of Caripe where we’’ have dinner and stay the night.
6th day:
Today is dedicated to the exploration of National Park Caripe-Guacharo where the famous Cave of the Guacharo is visited. It’s one of the largest caves in South America where an incredible colony of unique nocturnal birds live that use a sonic/radar guidance system similar to bats. This is the only place in the world where these birds can be found.
We’ll have lunch in a typical restaurant in the cool mountain climate and if there is time we can visit a nearby waterfall and eat a bowl of fresh strawberries with ice cream. In the afternoon we’ll go down the mountain and follow the coastline until we reach the entrance of Mochima National Park (a protected national reserve since 1973), arriving at a funny local posada. Here we’ll have dinner and we’ll stay in rooms with private bathrooms.
7th day:
Very early in the morning we’ll leave with our guide for a full day at Playa Blanca, a white-sanded beach where you can enjoy a relaxing Caribbean day. The boat trip, beach chairs, shades and lunch are all included. In the afternoon we’ll return to the pier from where we’ll leave for Puerto la Cruz to Hotel Maremares, a beautiful 5-star hotel. Here we’ll have dinner and you’ll have the night off to enjoy the lively nightlife.
8th day:
After a delicious breakfast we’ll leave for a full day in Mochima national Park, enjoying the clear waters and calm sea. With a bit of luck we’ll be able to see dolphins and iguanas that inhabit the island. After snorkeling we’ll have a nice lunch in one of the local restaurants. Afterwards we’ll return to the hotel where dinner will be enjoyed.
9th day:
In the morning we’ll take a private car to go to the airport to fly back to Caracas for the connecting flight to Los Roques. At arrival our guide will welcome you to Los Roques Park and will then take you to Va Pensiero or a similar posada. (Superior Category). You’ll have a day off to do additional tours or just relax and enjoy yourself. Lunch, dinner and stay are included.
10th and 11th day:
Just breakfast is served after which the spectacular beaches of the other islands can be enjoyed in optional excursions.
12th day:
After breakfast our guide will accompany you to the small airport of Los Roques, from where we’ll take a flight to Caracas for your international connection. You’ll be assisted with the check-in and boarding of your international flight.
